MORE MILK YVETTE is an unscripted camp “opera” about Lana Turner, whose daughter Cheryl stabbed Turner’s boyfriend, Johnny Stompanato, to death during a family quarrel in 1958. In the film, Mario Montez, dressed in drag as Lana Turner, sings snatches of improvised arias, eats lunch with “Cheryl,” (played by a young man), and tries on different sweaters, accompanied, incongruously, by the insistent harmonica playing of a Bob Dylan look-alike. -Callie Angel, MoMA
