“A Sense of Wonder”
Life is all about discovery and adventure. We are drawn by our desire to explore new experiences, visit new horizons, and learn all we can about the world and ourselves. It’s part of the human condition and, while it may not always end the way we hope, it’s a journey we must take. These films showcase that sense of wonder that, through good or bad, drive us all.

“Anything You Can Do”
In today’s society, we pride ourselves on our forward thinking and the strides taken in creating social change. However, it’s surprising how, even in a rapidly evolving social state, the films we see are dominated by male leads. With these films, we celebrate those films that put women in focus and show us that the times where they were stuck in “love interest” roles is a thing of the past.

It’s unavoidable that sometimes you’ll find yourself in a situation you just can’t escape. A relationship, a job, even something as simple as a car ride can become a prison that just traps you. In a situation like this, you can either give in to the hopelessness of it all, or build the courage to find a way out. These films show people stuck in their little prisons and tell the stories of how they persevered.
