MBC Interactive Archive Project:

OVERVIEW OF THE 1930s

The MBC Interactive Archive Project debuts the 1930s tonight…

after 50 years (so far) of collecting and months of cataloging, organizing, grouping and scanning images to represent the history of cinema illustrated by vintage memorabilia and ephemera. Tonight we reveal the 1930s section of the project, from the Golden Age of Hollywood and Mexican cinema, to "Poetic Realism" in France and what was happening at the same time under fascist and nazi regimes. Every three months we will debut a new decade of images from the archive. This is the second, complemented by an ongoing MBC retrospective of highlights of world cinema. This overview will reveal a world of images to tell the history of cinema in a theatrical setting. Hope to see you there!”

-Dana Keith, MBC Founder & Director, and collector!

Followed by a reception featuring Coppola wines
